President Barack Obama signs the historic health insurance reform bill Washington DC

The Complete List of Obama Statement Expiration Dates  provided by Jim Geraghty at NRO.

Here are some highlights:

STATEMENT: “These negotiations will be on C-SPAN, and so the public will be part of the conversation and will see the decisions that are being made.” January 20, 2008, and seven other times.

EXPIRATION DATE: Throughout the summer, fall, and winter of 2009 and 2010; when John McCain asked about it during the health care summit February 26, Obama dismissed the issue by declaring, “the campaign is over, John.”

STATEMENT: “No family making less than $250,000 will see any form of tax increase.” (multiple times on the campaign trail)

EXPIRATION DATE: Broken multiple times, including the raised taxes on tobacco, a new tax on indoor tanning salons, but most prominently on February 11, 2010: “President Barack Obama said he is “agnostic” about raising taxes on households making less than $250,000 as part of a broad effort to rein in the budget deficit.”

It is rather lenghty, but well worth a read.  Here is to “The One” who says one thing and does another.  Very typical of Washington and all that dwell there, but I think Obama and his people take it to another level.

The Democrat-led House, in a move that was as shocking as discovering that the sun comes up in the morning, approved the unconstitutional, socialistic takeover of 1/6 of the United States economy.  Apparently, they believed that the free market was too full of dumb people who had the audacity to believe their money should be controlled by them, and so they moved to address that issue with a rapidity that would make a snail’s head spin about 5 degrees to the left.  I mean, it only took them 100 years to match the Soviet Union in health quality.

But the battle isn’t done, kids…  there’s one more house of legislature to go through where the “supermajority” that evaporated in February, where those evil Republicans are likely to throw up annoying questions like “how in the hell are we going to pay for this?”, “where is this in the Constitution”, and “You Lie” – or this month’s equivalent, “Hell, no, you can’t.”

And after that…  if it gets to Der Kommisar’s desk…  there’s a court system full of attorneys ready to point out little things like “it’s not in the constitution”.

Better yet, there’s 300,000,000 Americans – 54% of whom think this is a boneheaded idea, ready to vote the bastards to the curb.

It ain’t over yet.  Don’t be discouraged…  be angry….  be vigilant…  be ready.

Remember this?

Yeah…  she was full o’ crap, and we know it.  Kinda like when Harry Reid complained about the GOP-led congress “sneaking bills” through.  Yeah.  They were both 100%, totally, completely full o’ crap.  The fact that they were full o’ crap was what led Joe Wilson (Hero-SC) to publicly call Barack Hussein Obama (Liar-IL) a liar.  (Pst!  He was lying about the whole “we won’t cover illegal aliens thing!)

The sad fact is that the reason they lie is because we let them lie.  On election day in 2010, let’s all give them an education in what happens to lying politicians when we kick their collective fannies out of Washington.

We all knew it would.  Even though Barry the Fibber is the biggest liar to sit in the Oval Office Chair since Bill “What does is mean again?” Clinton, we knew that when he said that he was going to push through his agenda of a government takeover of the health insurance industry, he meant it.

And he still does.

The latest: after buying off every single last Democrat Senator (including supposed “Blue Dog” and “Conservative / Moderate Democrats” like Joe Lieberman and Ben Nelson), Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are licking their chops on how to finish up this Multi-Trillion Dollar Boondoggle that’ll have you paying for abortions for illegal immigrants with your federal tax dollars (paging Joe Wilson).

Their plan to pay for this?  Take your money and kill old people.  $400 Billion in new taxes and $500 Billion in cuts to Medicare.

If Republicans proposed anything that cut Medicare by a tenth of that, the Democrats would be out for blood and their lapping suckups in the media would be yipping their little heads off…    but let a Democrat bill cut Medicare by $500 Billion and all of the sudden the media’s silence is such that you could hear a fly fart from across the state.

Oh – and they’re taking your money.  Anyone with half a brain knows that when you raise taxes on the rich, they don’t just pay it out of their pockets, complete with a side helping of the goodness of their hearts.  The rich own businesses, employ people, and build products.  A tax on the rich is an indirect tax on EVERYONE.  That’s why I support the FairTax (and you should, too) – but that’s beside the point.

And what are the Republicans on the hill doing about it?  Not much.  Not that there’s much they can do.  They can complain, which some are doing fairly effectively.  They can force a reading of the bill (which would be hilarious and would take days to complete and would only delay the inevitable).  And that’s about it.

So here’s where it comes to the people who are truly in charge: us.  I’ve got a simple 3-step plan that can help us ultimately come out winners in this situation.

1.  Run solid conservatives for office.  The lily-livered Blue Dogs and one or two Republicans who hemmed and hawed on this?  Vote them out.

2.  Win.

3.  Repeal the bill.  If Obama vetoes, override his veto.

Yeah, I know it’s a fantasy, but it’s a good fantasy…   It’s one I discussed before when I warned you that these so-called “moderates” were not our allies and could not be relied upon.  We need to remember that our politicians’ job isn’t to make buddies up on the hill – it’s to represent OUR interests.  And OUR interest, as poll after poll has said, is that this bill dies.  NOW.

Are you listening, Harry Reid?  Are you listening moderates?  Do you hear us?

Because if you don’t hear us now, you’ll hear us loud and clear in November when we kick your useless hides out of the Capitol.

And hits keep on coming.

This weekend, the Washington Post dedicated a front-page article to how mean, evil, and discourteous conservatives are.

Which conservatives?

Michelle Malkin, for one.  Her crime?  She sent an e-mail to Charise Carney-Nunes regarding the now-infamous video of children singing the “Mmm-mmm-mmm-mmm” song in praise of Barack Hussein Obama.  Her e-mail included such loaded, hateful, and mean questions as “did you write the song”, “did you teach about your book”, and “how well do you know the President”.  In a hateful huff, she concluded with that most hideous of closings, “Thank you for your time”.

Glenn Beck, of course, for his promotion of ideas like “America is good”, “I believe in God”, and “I have a right to disagree with the government when it’s being stupid”.  Obviously, this is just rabble-rousing and hate.

And can we forget the most hateful, mean, and evil of conservatives: Rush Limbaugh, whose eeeeeeeeeevil plans now extend to potential ownership of a National Football League team, which is intuitively obvious to the most casual of observers simply part of a larger plan to take over the world and drown the poor, elderly, and defenseless in giant vats of Alaskan crude while sucking down cigars and chuckling at his collection of racist literature.

Sweet.

Zombie.

L.

Ron.

Hubbard.

OK.  I know I’m just a simple idjut from the backwoods of the Fruited Plain, but I guess it’s time for an education.  Washington Post?  Lefties?  Pull up a chair, pull out your notepads and pencils, and shut the fark up.  Adults are about to speak.

First – calling Michelle Malkin, Glenn Beck, or Rush Limbaugh anything only serves to widen this divide you keep spouting off about.  When people are upset with your side’s ability to completely mismanage the nation, it’s not because they’re mean or divisive – it’s because you’re mismanaging the nation.  These people – myself included – speak out of love.  We love America and what she represents.  We love our families and kids and work and hope for the best future possible for them.  We love our lives and our families and want to make sure that we’re able to support them.

Mooooooooooo.

Mooooooooooo.

Second – calling them hateful, mean, etc. is 100% bull, and you damned well know it.  There’s actually a better word for what’s happening here: projection.  If you don’t believe, go to a quick look-up on the history of how liberals have behaved towards conservatives.  How about when Town Hall protester William Rice got his FREAKING FINGER BITTEN OFF?  Or all the hate mail that Michelle receives on a daily basis, usually filled with comments about her race or her gender.

And no – it’s not limited just to charged events or nationally recognized columnists.  How about when the late lefty Steve Gilliard posted his now-infamous Michael Steele photo that he hand-doctored in act that Gilliard himself associated with his “complete and utter contempt” for black conservatives?  Think it’s history?  Think again.  Sorry, kids – there’s a long line of history that says that the attacks by the left on the right are routinely more vicious, hateful, racist, sexist, and any other -ist you want to list than any attack on the left by the right.

Why?  It’s simple: conservatives care about issues.  We care about facts.  We care about things that flow on a logical course from point a to point z.  We care about history.

Liberals, on the other hand, care about feelings.  The thought that someone may use, say, actual numbers to prove that the ideas of the left simply won’t hold water makes the members of the left feel “icky” – and so they project their own hatred, fear, and negativity onto members of the right.  They use terms like “racist” and “sexist” without having any real concept of what those terms are or why it came to be that certain ideas actually are “racist” and “sexist”.  They just see a dark-skinned President, fall in love with him, and then presume that any attack on him must be because of his skin color because, dammit, that’s what made THEM love him in the first place.

And then conservatives go and use things like “math” and ask unpleasant questions like “how do you intend to pay for this”.  They look at things like “history” and say “you know, the last 57 times socialism was tried, it ended in disaster for the nations that tried it”.  They look at things like “the Constitution” and say “your czars are not behaving in a manner that’s in line with the constitution”

Yeah.  That’s all that “hate” stuff.

You want to “restore” civility to the national political discussion, members of the left?  Then stop being uncivil.  Conservatives have played very nice, so far.  Our rallies have consistently been forums of peaceful, vociferous disagreement with policy.  Yours have consistently been violent, destructive, and costly.  Conservatives have shouted “You Lie” at the President.  Liberals shouted for Bush’s head on a platter.

So the next time you lefties call for conservatives to be more civil in their discourse, why don’t you check your own eye for a plank before talking about the speck in ours?

First, Obama claimed that illegal aliens wouldn’t be covered in the Health Care Monster.  Joe Wilson yelled “You Lie” at THE ONE.  THE ONE gave him a gaze and the left howled like monkeys all too eager to toss their feces at zoo visitors.  How DARE he call THE ONE a liar!  THE ONE would never lie!

Plus, he'll now have the title of "Undocumented Climbing Expert" and will be employed as a government sherpa.

Plus, he'll now have the title of "Undocumented Climbing Expert" and will be employed as a government sherpa.

And then the White House comes out and admits that, indeed, public funds would go towards the care of illegal immigrants.

But fear not!   THE ONE has a plan…   kinda like the Cylons, except that Obama’s plan is stupid, convoluted, and will probably lead to more dead humans than the Cylons ever took out.  His plan?

The Health Care Monster won’t cover illegals, because he’s just going to make illegals…..   legal!  Ta-da!  Problem solved!  Joe Wilson and all those darned evil teabaggers were wrong!  Illegal Immigrants won’t be covered because there will be no illegal immigrants!  Why…  what could possibly go wrong?

Now, look…   I’m all for immigration.  You’ll be hard-pressed to find someone who doesn’t think it’s awesome that we have such a great country that so many people want to live in.  I think the fact that there are people who want to come to live in the blessing of America is awesome.

But…   there’s a legal process.  Yes, it’s convoluted.  Yes, it’s hard.  Yes, it means that someone can’t cross the border, become a legal immigrant, and immediately start suckling on the welfare teat.  And that’s a good thing – mostly.  It means that those who want to come here have to prove that they want to be a contributing part of the American community, and I certainly think that streamlining the process is a reasonable goal for us to pursue in order to lessen the legal costs and burden on good, law-abiding people who want to be American.

But blanket amnesty is not a good idea, and grating blanket amnesty so that you can add even more people to the health care insurance industry government takeover is beyond the pale.  These are not people who want to be American.  They have no interest in being American.  They simply want the benefits America offers with none of the real responsibilities that come along with citizenship.

Yes, I am aware that they have personal hardships.  Welcome to life.

But what is more irresponsible than the chief law enforcement officer in the country publicly stating that we should ignore and forgive the law breaking of a group of people is the same law enforcement officer doing it so that he can then turn around and provide them with the largest government welfare program in the history of government welfare.  That’s what we call a “reckless disregard for the Constitution and the Laws of the United States”.

That kind of thing should get you impeached.

The United States House will begin discussions on exactly what kind of action to take against Rep. Joe Wilson for his outburst last week.  As a recap, in case you’ve been on the moon, President B. Hussein Obama said that his Universal Health Care Backdoor Plan did not contain anything in it that would allow illegal immigrants to receive free health care.  Joe Wilson, unable to contain himself any longer, shouted 2 words at THE ONE…  “You Lie”.  THE ONE glared his most glaring glare he could possibly glare at this petty minion for daring to interrupt his media event with such trivialities.  There go those pesky Republicans, again, reading the bills they’re supposed to be voting on!

He's Not Lying - He's Just Full of Crap and Completely Misleading Congress and the American People

He's Not Lying - He's Just Full of Crap and Completely Misleading Congress and the American People

And then, later on, the Obama Administration admitted that, indeed, hospitals would be compensated for illegals.

Today, for the first time as far as we know, the administration is backing a provision that would require proof of citizenship before someone could enroll in a plan selected on the exchange.

Here, the administration also concedes that hospitals would be compensated with public funds for the care of undocumented immigrants.

Despite the fact that Hussein Obama did indeed mislead Congress on this bill in the middle of his speech (didn’t the Donks go nuts over their belief that Bush did something similar, except that he didn’t?), and despite the fact that Republican Presidents have been disrupted during much more important speeches, like the State of the Union in 2005 – and again in 2006 by none other than Barack Hussein Obama, this type of behavior that’s so acceptable on the left must not be countenanced from members of the right wing of political thought!  Ridicule the thought (Rule 5 of Alinski’s Rules for Radicals)!  Make it seem more fearful and extreme than it really is (Rule 9)!  Punish those that express such thoughts (Rule 8)!  Ultimately, silence those who dare to express those thoughts in direct opposition and open forum (Rule 11)!

And so, the United States House is going to spend your tax dollars and time constructing a fitting punishment for a House Member who uttered 2 words – that were provably true – at an elected employee of the American people who was in the process of lying to both Houses of Congress (also employees of the American People) and the American People.

I dunno…   last time I checked the US Constitution, the US Congress could make no law abridging the freedom of speech.  I guess penalizing one of its members for not apologizing for telling a liar that he was lying isn’t covered.  Not sure where the footnote is, but it’s got to be in there!  Democrats would NEVER treat the constitution with such insignificance!

Seriously…  OK, Joe’s comments were a bit of a breech of decorum, but so what?  The illusion that the US House is a stately institution is a load of crap, as the history of this stated body is filled with members who not only dare to boo the self-appointed Moonbat Messiah, but who get into fistfights on the House floor.  In fact, let’s take a moment to relive some of the best moments of decorum in the US House:

1798: Roger Griswold vs. Matthew Lyon.  Lyon accuses Griswold and other Federalists of being corrupt.  Gris calls Lyon a coward.  Lyon spits on Gris.  House doesn’t do anything.  2 weeks later, Griswold walks up to Lyon and starts whacking him upside the head with a cane.  Lyon defends himself with a set of fireplace tongs.  Nothing happens.

1832: William Stanbery vs. Gov. Sam Houston.  Former Tennessee Governor and later Republic of Texas President Sam Houston visited Washington to expose corruption in the government’s treatment of the Cherokee.  Stanbery didn’t appreciate this, accusing Houston of corruption.  Houston, after trying to get a response via letter, confronted Stanbery on the street and whacked him with his cane.  Stanbery pulled a gun on Houston, aimed at his chest, and pulled the trigger…   getting nothing.  The gun misfired, and the House responded by ordering Houston arrested for corruption.  Eventually, Stanbery was censured, not for trying to kill a corruption-exposing governor, but for accusing the Speaker of the House of having Presidential aspirations.

This is How We Get Things Done in the US House

This is How We Get Things Done in the US House

1856: Sen. Charles Sumner vs. Preston Brooks vs. Anson Burlingame.  Senator Charles Sumner makes fun of Senator Andrew Butler in a speech against slavery, mocking his speech patters – gained when Butler had suffered a stroke earlier – and accusing him of taking on a “harlot” named “slavery”.  Rep. Preston Brooks heard about it and went over with a couple of friends, including one Rep. Laurence Keitt, to the floor of the Senate, where Brooks proceeded to beat Sumner into a bloody mess, ripping his desk out of the floor in order to get at him, only stopping when the cane he was using to beat him with finally broke.  Keitt spent the time holding off Senate members who wanted to help Sumner.  Keitt was censured and Brooks survived an expulsion vote, although he resigned later.  Later on, Brooks was called a coward by Rep. Anson Burlingame, and Brooks challenged him to a duel.  Burlingame accepted and suggested rifles on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls (to avoid American anti-dueling laws).  Brooks chickened out.  And Sumner?  Spent quite a few years in recovery after nearly dying from his wounds.

1860: 2 Dozen House Member Melee!  Speaking of Laurence Keitt, during a late-night debate on admitting Kansas, the intoxicated pro-slavery Representative didn’t appreciate Rep. Galusha Grow’s comments on slavery, and called him a “black puppy”.  Grow called Keitt a slave driver, and that, apparently, was the key phrase that sent Keitt into “let’s choke him until he stops twitching” mode.  And that, apparently, is all it took to send the US House into whoopass mode.  2 dozen House members beat on each other in a brawl that only ended when Rep. Cadwallader Washington (R-IL) missed a punch thrown at Rep. William Barksdale (D-MS), upending Barksdale’s wig.  Barksdale tried to replace the wig, but put it on backwards, sending his opponent – and the rest of the House – into a laughing fit.  No action was taken against anyone.

Ahh…  but such behavior is certainly above the Congressmen of today…   right?

2006: Rep. John Murtha vs. The United States Marine Corps.  In the middle of a war, Murtha accuses US Marines of murdering Iraqis when said Marines are accused of murdering Iraqis.  Marines are arrested, tried, and every single last one is found innocent.  Nothing happens.  To this day, Murtha has not apologized.

2007: Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr. vs. Rep. Lee Terry.  In a “discussion” over SCHIP debate rules that the Democrat majority changed in the middle of the night, Terry told the Democrat Congressman to “shut up”.  This sent Jesse “I’m Not Trading on My Dad’s Name” Jackson, Jr. into a profanity-soaked tirade that ended with an invitation to settle the matter outside.  While they decided not to go into whoopass mode, it still didn’t keep supporters of the Democrat Congressman from showing up at Terry’s office to threaten him in the name of the Party of Peace and Love.  No action was taken against either Congressman.

Keep that in mind, kids…   It’s OK for Congressmen to threaten fistfights, or to actually have them on the floor of either House of Congress.  You could even send another member of Congress into long-term therapy.  But whatever you do: thou shalt NOT question THE ONE.

That’s just wrong.

Ill happily call him a lying piece of garbage. Plus, I wont apologize for it.

I'll happily call him a lying piece of garbage. Plus, I won't apologize for it.

You apologized, Joe Wilson, for calling B. Hussein Obama a liar.  Shame on you.  That’s like apologizing for calling Ted Kennedy a drunk or Bill Clinton a chauvinistic philandering adulterer who diddled an intern.

Barack Obama is a liar, plain and simple.  He lied to the American people about being the most transparent administration ever.  He’s lied about and manufactured the health care “crisis” numbers.  He’s lied about the contents of the bill he hasn’t read.  He’s lied about the cost of his Health Care takeover.  Finally, he’s lied about what’s actually in the bill.

Gee – what would ever make me think that he’s a liar?

While I admire your gut reaction, Joe…   there was no need to follow the path of John McCain.  You called Obama exactly what he is: a liar.  Now, stand by your statement.

Of course, while you stood up, so many others said nothing.  534 other Senators and Congressmen said nary a word while you just had to spit it out.  And now, you’re backtracking.  That’s a shame, because if there’s one thing that I’m sick of Republicans doing, it’s backing off when they speak the truth.

Don’t back off.  Call it like it is: a lie.  Barack Hussein Obama, you lie.  You’re lying now.  You’re a liar.  You’re a lying politician who’s lying about your lies.

Don’t believe me?  Read the bill.

The only thing more hilarious than watching the TOTUS go off-kilter when someone shouted “you lie” (that wasn’t on the Teleprompter!) was the Democrats’ faux indignation at someone daring to interrupt the President during a speech.  Gee – that’s never happened before!
