Sometimes, you just can’t help laughing at the state of affairs in the world.  Laughter helps the world go ’round.  It also distracts my brain from its deep-seeded desire to eat its way out of the back of my skull for having been exposed to the ongoing theater of the absurd that is the war on the Tea Parties.

Now, it seems that our beloved Teleprompter has joined in with the self-appointed clowns of the left in referring to those who disagree with Obama, Communism, and the general flushing of our Constitution, principles, and nation down the toilet…   by vulgar sexual slang.  Honestly, if it were just him as a private citizen, we could almost laugh it off.  Especially the whole hypocrisy part, where he calls for civility while at the same time calling people names like any good 6-year-old bully would do.  But A) he’s the President; and B) it’s a pattern of behavior by members of the left.

From unapologetic vulgar sexual slang to bizarre theories of assistance based on political voting patterns to false accusations of racist comments to conspiracy theories that would normally get one committed to an asylum, the left’s war on the right – and common sense – continues, unstopped by any of those pesky “facts” or “opposition in the media”.

And they wonder why the latest polls show a butt-whoopin’ coming this November.

Air America is hanging it up.  Here is a tissue for you.

They already had filed bankrupcy, and have been “rescued” once.

The problem:  They are not able to get anyone or business to advertise.  No one seems to want to be responsible for supporting this garbage.  Hmmmm, is this the growing sentiment in America?

Duncan And Emmanuel Promote Education Dept's Summer Reading Initiative

Let’s let Obama cronies David Axelrod and Rham Emanuel speak for themselves:

“A lot of their news programming, it’s really not news. It’s pushing a point of view,” senior adviser David Axelrod said on ABC’s “This Week.”

“The way we — the president looks at it and we look at it, is, it is not a news organization so much as it has a perspective,” White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel added on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

“The bigger thing is that other news organizations, like yours, ought not to treat them that way, and we’re not going to treat them that way.”

Did you catch that?  On one hand, ol’ Dave is calling Fox News “not news”.  Mostly, I’m guessing, because of their rabid, slobbering, mindless hatred of Glenn Beck and anyone else who disagrees with the Obama agenda.  But that last comment, to me, anyway, sounds like both a set of orders (“don’t you other news organizations treat them like a news organization”) and a not-so-veiled threat (“this is what happens when you act like Fox News”) – something I’d expect from Rahm “Ram It Through” Emanuel.

Remember all the hubbub about the Bush Admin’s supposed fascism, all because they wanted to enable law enforcement agencies to work together to defend our nation from terrorists and people who want to detonate nukes in the middle of America?  Well…   where’s the outrage when the White House is unleashing similar attacks against a news channel it doesn’t control?

Well – to be truthful, even the left-wing media’s catching the threat and demanding that the White House stop its crusade against Fox News.

And yes, kids – it’s about control.  Anita Dunn – when she wasn’t praising mass murderers – was on foreign news channels admitting that the whole Media hearts Obama thing was indeed an exercise in controlling the airwaves.

Now, some people are calling the Obama Administration foolish, childish, and rash.  The one thing I’m going to call them is calculated.  This whole thing smacks of Saul Alinski’s Rules for Radicals.  Specifically:

Rule 5: Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It’s hard to counterattack ridicule, and it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage.

Ever hear an Obama Official talk about Fox News as a reliable source?  Ever heard a liberal talk about Faux News?  Ever wonder why?

Rule 6: A good tactic is one your people enjoy.

Watch liberal voters’ response to the Obama White House’s actions against Fox.

Rule 8: Keep the pressure on. Use different tactics and actions and use all events of the period for your purpose.

Have they ever let up?  Every day, there’s a new game being played.

Rule 9: The threat is more terrifying than the thing itself.

Seriously – what would happen if there were TWO channels like Fox News out there?  Is a single news station really that important?

Rule 11: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, polarize it. Don’t try to attack abstract corporations or bureaucracies. Identify a responsible individual. Ignore attempts to shift or spread the blame.

Glenn Beck?  Bill O’Reilly?  Etc.

Yes, I think they’re doing it deliberately, and yes – I think it’s yet another dangerous precedent set down by a White House that’s looking more and more like an exercise in Liberal Fascism every day.  Karl Rove (aka “The Most Evil Man in the World In the Eyes of Liberals, Socialists, Communists, and Other Assorted Enemies of Freedom”) says that he believes that the Obama Administration is compiling an enemies list, and I think he’s 100% right.

And I don’t think they’re doing all their work by themselves.  Look at the recent Rush Limbaugh stupidity that NCMike commented on last week.  They accused Rush of racism by using quotes pulled out of a book that had pulled them off of Wikipedia.  Rush never said anything remotely like what was attributed to him.  Frankly, I hope Rush sues the pants off of the responsible individuals.

And yet – the attacks ensued and continued.  The Usual Suspects (Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton) began a chorus on how Rush (aka “The Bully“) was unfriendly to black people (Rush’s primary associate on his show, Bo Snerdly, is black as is his sometimes-replacement Dr. Walter E. Williams) and how his part-ownership of an NFL team would be a sign of the return of slavery, plantations, and separate water fountains.  This, coming from 2 guys – one of whom has never apologized for his role in the infamous Tawana Brawley incident – for which he was sued for slander and has never paid a dime, and one of whom called New York “Hymietown” and has yet to have apologized for his role in the Duke Lacrosse case.

Looking to Sharpton and Jackson for direction on racial reconciliation is like looking to Jenna Jameson for advice on celibacy.

So there I was…  looking directly into the gaping void of ratings and intellect that was the CNN website.  On the front page, right at the top, was the following headline: “Death Panel Rumors False”.  I found this interesting, since I’ve actually read the bill and, including pages 425-431 about the nonexistent death panels.  Apparently, they’re groups of bureaucrats (aka “panels”) that manage how you’re going to die (aka “death”).  Where would I ever get the silly idea that these things are “death panels”?

Its not the news, Its Fishwrap

It's not the news, It's Fishwrap

So, I’m off to read the article.   Ah!  It’s COMMENTARY.  The headline isn’t actually the story.  There’s actually not a story.  It’s opinion.  But if I were just, say, scanning CNN’s website for headlines, I would’ve never known that this was just another Obamabot rant masquerading as news on what is quickly becoming the digital and cable television version of fishwrap.

On and on the article droned, as if the doctor (one Douglas Blayney of the University of Michigan – not surprisingly, an Obama supporter and donor according to OpenSecrets.org) and the nurse (one Brenda Nevidjon, clinical professor of nursing at Duke University – another Democrat donor) had actually read the bill they were criticizing.  They obviously hadn’t, but did that matter?

To CNN, this was headline news worthy of their front page (and apparently unworthy of anything labeling it as “commentary”).

Today, CNN again announced that “False Rumors” abounded in the health care debate.  How do they know?  Why – they unleashed their “Truth Squad”, who seemed to come up with the exact same answers as the latest talking points from the Obama Administration.  And since they’re a “Truth Squad”, they must be trustworthy…  right?  Just take their quiz!

Seriously.  Take it.  It’s hilariously biased.  And just more commentary masquerading as fact.

So who exactly is on this “Truth Squad”?  Well, frankly, I don’t know.  A Google search of “CNN Truth Squad Members” and “Who is on CNN Truth Squad” revealed very little in the way of things like “people” or “names”.  It did reveal a large number of links to articles the “Truth Squad” had produced showin’ them danged Republicans who’s boss.  These are the same yahoos who laughed at the whole idea that The Glorious One could ever have been associated with known terrorist Bill Ayers.

It probably stuck in the their craw that shortly after this announcement, one of their fellow CNN employees outed them as not being in complete touch with the truth.  In fact, they completely ignored the whole “Obama’s Big Coming Out Party at Bill Ayers’ House” thing.  Obama tried to bury the story using his connections to the Annenberg Foundation, but the fact is that Barack Obama and terrorist William Ayers were closely tied for many years.  And CNN covered it up.  With their “Truth Squad” (aka “Commentarians” – yeah, I know it’s not a word – it is now).

And it’s not the first time.  And liberals wonder why Fox News consistently creams CNN and PMSNBC in the ratings.  And conservatives wonder why liberals keep trying to shut them down and silence conservative voices.

Liberals are cowards, and they want to make us as afraid of them as they are of us.  Don’t let them.
