CULVER CITY, CA - APRIL 17: Game show host Pat Sajak is interviewed on the set of the 'Jeopardy!' Million Dollar Celebrity Invitational Tournament Show Taping on April 17, 2010 in Culver City, California. (Photo by Amanda Edwards/Getty Images)

Finally a voice of reasoning from Hollywood other than Charlie Daniels or Jon Voight.  Mr. Pat Sajak gives us, I mean “the global warming crowd” , (yes the same group of people that believe it is possible for humans to affect the climate of the earth) some very pratical ways they can pracitce what they preach.  Maybe just a little leading by example?

Let’s assume that a third of the world’s population really believes mankind has the power to adjust the Earth’s thermostat through lifestyle decisions. The percentage may be higher or lower, but, for the sake of this exercise, let’s put it at one-third. Now it seems to me these people have a special obligation to change their lives dramatically because they truly believe catastrophe lies ahead if they don’t. The other two-thirds are merely ignorant, so they can hardly be blamed for their actions.

Now, if those True Believers would give up their cars and big homes and truly change the way they live, I can’t imagine that there wouldn’t be some measurable impact on the Earth in just a few short years. I’m not talking about recycling Evian bottles, but truly simplifying their lives. Even if you were, say, a former Vice President, you would give up extra homes and jets and limos. I see communes with organic farms and lives freed from polluting technology.

Then, when the rest of us saw the results of their actions—you know, the earth cooling, oceans lowering, polar bears frolicking and glaciers growing—we would see the error of our ways and join the crusade voluntarily and enthusiastically.

This should at least win idea of the day?  Maybe idea of the week or even month?  The problem is, the lefty environmentalist only want you to “Do as I say, not as I do”.  All Pat is asking is,  if you are so serious about all of this, show us the way.  We will follow suit like Lemmings off a cliff as soon as we are  visually enlightened by all of the “Global Warming” rhetoric, babble and smoke blowing.

Until then, stop trying to pass laws that will apply new taxes and fees to the citizens of the United States.  Quit telling us we need to buy florecent bulbs because they are better for the environment.  (Did you know that is the reason the fish in WI have high mecury levels is because people are too lazy to drive down to the local hardware stores to recycle them.  I’m sure it’s just the conservative-Republican earth haters though)  Please, no more telling us that we need to drive a car that wouldn’t survive a collision with a moped to save the environment.  For the love of Pete stop telling us to do all of the things that are going to save the planet and bankrupt us in the process. All the while still traveling in your private or commercial jets and trying to off set your pollution with carbon credits/offsets.

I know it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy that you can still be a pollution hog and just offset your destruction of our planet by shuting off your computer at night, turning off the water while you brush your teeth, or using candles to read.  But the fact is that every time you hop on that plane, or get in your car, you are polluting.  You can’t take it away with a shower every three days.

Anyway, I think Pat Sajak is on to something here.  And for the record, there is no one who is a conservative that is of sound mind, who really wants to destroy the earth.  Be assured, sleep well at night knowing that we want to protect the earth and conserve it as well.

Side note:  I know that the Price is right is not Sajak’s game show, but I thought I’d use it anyway in the title.

WASHINGTON - JULY 16: U.S. President Barack Obama speaks in the Rose Garden about the BP oil spill situation in the Gulf of Mexico, on July 16, 2010 in Washington, DC. President Obama said the new cap that was recenlty installed should be able to continue to stop the oil from leaking into the Gulf. (Photo by Mark Wilson/Getty Images)

Nice little video on Vimeo from rightchange that shows a timeline on the president’s response after the BP oil disaster in the Gulf.

Plump full of the most prominent conservative media faces today.   oops, I mean liberal.  Yes, that’s right the ones taking the President to task are his own party and buddies.

There isn’t anything new in the video, it is just well put together and lays it all out.

Oil Spill Timeline from RightChange on Vimeo.

Go ahead, take a look.  It’s 4 minutes long.

It’s bad enough that the Press has labeled Tea-Parties as right wing extremist, that the Obama Regime is out to tell everyone that we are terrorist or worse, but we all know the truth of who the real radicals are:

Bob Etheridge Rep- 2nd District Democrat NC:

Democrat Activist attacks former NC Senate/US House Rep Candidate Nathan Tabor in Greensboro North Carolina.

So during the presidential election in 2008, one of the main cornerstone’s of Obama’s campaign (besides Socialist Change) was criticism of then President Bush and the 4 day wait in response to the devastation in Louisiana and Mississippi caused by Hurricane Katrina. For months President Bush was hounded by the slow response of FEMA and relief by the Federal Government. Of course the fact that then Democrat Governor of Louisiana, Kathleen Blanco, turned away Red Cross Relief efforts that day after Hurricane Katrina struck is never mentioned. Months on end, we heard basically how President Bush screwed it up, and well he hates black people.

Now, because of the tragic explosion and sinking of BP’s oil platform in the coast, which is causing 5,000 barrels a day to pollute the gulf and wash up in Louisiana and threaten 5 other states, it only took Obama NINE days to take notice, and ELEVEN days for the EPA to get into gear. Where is the media on this presidential blunder? Where is it on the news for 24 hours a day? Why Obama must hate white people, because all those people who make their lively hood by running shrimping boats are going to go out of business. There is nothing like a little oil flavoring to season our Shrimp Etouffee.

Of course, common sense dictates that disasters, whether caused by Mother Nature, or by human accident will happen and occur from time to time. Human lives will be lost, no matter what race, color or creed of those involved. It is always a tragedy when these things occur, and in many cases these things cannot be prevented no matter how many safety procedures or precautions we take. The matter of fact to lay the blame of Katrina on President Bush and lay the blame of BP’s disaster on President Obama is an oxymoron. The issue I have is one: Is it really up to the Federal Government to provide relief? Note: Florida and not the Federal Government has provided its own hurricane relief efforts. and Secondly: If you are going to criticize President Bush for Katrina, is it not only right to criticize President Obama for the BP scenario? I mean don’t you think a nine-day response is worse than a four-day response? And Obama recently eased restrictions on Oil Drilling Platforms as well. Ain’t that a wonder?

President Barack Obama signs the historic health insurance reform bill Washington DC

The Complete List of Obama Statement Expiration Dates  provided by Jim Geraghty at NRO.

Here are some highlights:

STATEMENT: “These negotiations will be on C-SPAN, and so the public will be part of the conversation and will see the decisions that are being made.” January 20, 2008, and seven other times.

EXPIRATION DATE: Throughout the summer, fall, and winter of 2009 and 2010; when John McCain asked about it during the health care summit February 26, Obama dismissed the issue by declaring, “the campaign is over, John.”

STATEMENT: “No family making less than $250,000 will see any form of tax increase.” (multiple times on the campaign trail)

EXPIRATION DATE: Broken multiple times, including the raised taxes on tobacco, a new tax on indoor tanning salons, but most prominently on February 11, 2010: “President Barack Obama said he is “agnostic” about raising taxes on households making less than $250,000 as part of a broad effort to rein in the budget deficit.”

It is rather lenghty, but well worth a read.  Here is to “The One” who says one thing and does another.  Very typical of Washington and all that dwell there, but I think Obama and his people take it to another level.

I wondered why these companies had not spoken out sooner, when it could have done some good. I suppose this is the answer: they know how vindictive the Democrats are. The Democrats’ reaction would have been even more hostile (and more dangerous to the companies’ well-being) if they had dared to blow the whistle on Obamacare before Congress voted.

President Obama Signs Health Care Reform Bill

“Hours after President Barack Obama signed historic health care legislation, a potential problem emerged. Administration officials are now scrambling to fix a gap in highly touted benefits for children.”

Here are a couple of articles that explain the dilemma.  As the comments over at Hot Air suggest, this is just another sign of incompetence for the Obama Administration.

I would like to take a moment to Honor all the Republicans that voted No for Obama Care Sunday in the House of Representatives. I would also like to honor the Democrats that voted no for Obama Care as well. It’s not often we get to Honor Democrats on this site but regardless of the reason, the following Dems voted No for Obama Care and at least this Health Care monstrosity should not be held against them this November, despite the fact, of course they being Democrats.

Holy Crap, a Democrat Got One Thing Right

Holy Crap! A Democrat Got One Thing Right!

Hark!  For I hear a Democrat actually speaking some truth about the process for passing Nationalized Socialist Health Care:

“…reconciliation cannot be used to pass comprehensive health care reform.”

See – there’s the problem, kids…  Reconciliation is a budgetary thing.  It’s a 1970′s thing that allows budget bills to get through the Senate so that they can’t be filibustered and thus have the entire Federal Government shut down by a single party, or in a 59-41 Senate, a single Senator.

And it’s not designed so that one party can completely circumvent the traditions and procedures of the US Senate, no matter how sincerely it believes in “hope” and “change”.

To be sure, Kent Conrad (Donk-ND) is a moderate Democrat, but he IS a Democrat.  He advertises himself as a deficit hawk who is critical of overspending.  But for all of his moderate bluster, he voted for Tax Credits for Hollywood Productions, for Federal abortion funding, for increasing the debt limit, for Obama’s Porkulus, for TARP, for giving terrorists constitutional rights, for Obamacare, against the border fence, etc.  But he’s a “moderate”.  Still, I’ll give him credit for this one.

Well folks, Obama is back at it again, introducing his “new” 1 Trillion Dollar Health Bill, which promises to cover every single, man, women, child and illegal alien with healthcare. Don’t believe there is a public option? Well the new bill promises to use state Medicaid to cover the previous mentioned people with 100% reimbursement for the first 4 years, 95% for the next two years and 90% from there on after. So in other words, you my fair friend will be paying for coverage for everyone else.

How you ask? Well the word tax is mentioned 35 times in this new healthcare bill. So why the Big O promised you no taxes would be raised on you guys, if you want the free-bee healthcare, you are going to end up paying for it one way or another. Even those of us that don’t want it is going to end up paying for it one way or another.

So this fair bill that no-one wants, the Democrats have invited the Republicans to Blair House to “talk” about it. How do the Dems want to “talk” about it? Well they say that while they will consider what the Republicans have to say, they are not going to scrap this bill, they will not start over and if the Republicans don’t cooperate they will be labeled Obstructionist and everyone will hate them. Ever notice that since Scott Brown was elected, that the Dems say Washington is broken? That they want to fix things. That they don’t want to be a member of congress anymore.

I say Hell No! Washington is working EXACTLY like it is supposed to be working. Gridlock is our friend. When nothing gets passed, then we don’t end up paying out of our pockets and spending ourselves into oblivion. Remember when Washington DC was snowed in and government was closed?!? It was the best time in my life! Why? Because life still moved on, we still went to our jobs and earned our money and government was closed. Just a fine example that we don’t really need the idiots in Washington, we can get along just fine without them.

Of course the Dem’s are bailing out of Washington because they know what is coming in November. They rather “retire” from Washington rather to be defeated at home. Of course those like Harry Reid are bound and determined to ram Healthcare through on us even though he is on a sinking ship.

The current plan is to get the house to pass a Senate Version of the bill Verbatim and have the senate pass it on a simple majority. So while we can now filibuster it, this bill is still in play and not dead yet.

Of course the interesting thing is that the version of house bill only passed by 3 votes. And Pelosi is no-where to be found. I think she probably knows the ultra libs in the house are not going to take the Senate version and the blue-dogs are about to defect because they want to be re-elected. She probably knows the house bill is dead and is hiding out to disassociate herself with it.
Of course this is just a theory but as good as any floating around out there.

Whatever does happen, it’s going to be an interesting next couple of months. Lets hope that the bill is truly dead, and if by some how it does pass, the Supreme Court will rule it’s no-repeal clause in it is unconstitutional and we can finally kick this thing to the curb in 2010 or 2012 if not sooner.
