As Obama and the Liberal Democrats try to sell us Nationalized Healthcare today, below is a clip of Ronald Reagan speaking against Socialized Medicine. It speaks for itself.

Well folks, Obama is back at it again, introducing his “new” 1 Trillion Dollar Health Bill, which promises to cover every single, man, women, child and illegal alien with healthcare. Don’t believe there is a public option? Well the new bill promises to use state Medicaid to cover the previous mentioned people with 100% reimbursement for the first 4 years, 95% for the next two years and 90% from there on after. So in other words, you my fair friend will be paying for coverage for everyone else.

How you ask? Well the word tax is mentioned 35 times in this new healthcare bill. So why the Big O promised you no taxes would be raised on you guys, if you want the free-bee healthcare, you are going to end up paying for it one way or another. Even those of us that don’t want it is going to end up paying for it one way or another.

So this fair bill that no-one wants, the Democrats have invited the Republicans to Blair House to “talk” about it. How do the Dems want to “talk” about it? Well they say that while they will consider what the Republicans have to say, they are not going to scrap this bill, they will not start over and if the Republicans don’t cooperate they will be labeled Obstructionist and everyone will hate them. Ever notice that since Scott Brown was elected, that the Dems say Washington is broken? That they want to fix things. That they don’t want to be a member of congress anymore.

I say Hell No! Washington is working EXACTLY like it is supposed to be working. Gridlock is our friend. When nothing gets passed, then we don’t end up paying out of our pockets and spending ourselves into oblivion. Remember when Washington DC was snowed in and government was closed?!? It was the best time in my life! Why? Because life still moved on, we still went to our jobs and earned our money and government was closed. Just a fine example that we don’t really need the idiots in Washington, we can get along just fine without them.

Of course the Dem’s are bailing out of Washington because they know what is coming in November. They rather “retire” from Washington rather to be defeated at home. Of course those like Harry Reid are bound and determined to ram Healthcare through on us even though he is on a sinking ship.

The current plan is to get the house to pass a Senate Version of the bill Verbatim and have the senate pass it on a simple majority. So while we can now filibuster it, this bill is still in play and not dead yet.

Of course the interesting thing is that the version of house bill only passed by 3 votes. And Pelosi is no-where to be found. I think she probably knows the ultra libs in the house are not going to take the Senate version and the blue-dogs are about to defect because they want to be re-elected. She probably knows the house bill is dead and is hiding out to disassociate herself with it.
Of course this is just a theory but as good as any floating around out there.

Whatever does happen, it’s going to be an interesting next couple of months. Lets hope that the bill is truly dead, and if by some how it does pass, the Supreme Court will rule it’s no-repeal clause in it is unconstitutional and we can finally kick this thing to the curb in 2010 or 2012 if not sooner.

Have you heard the news?  The Great Recession’s over!  We’re in full-on RECOVERY MODE!  Yay!

Well, except for the crippling 19.9% underemployment rate, where nearly 1 in 5 Americans is “working less than they want to” – or in other words, out of work.  Again, since the Democrats took control of Congress (you know – the people that can actually spend Federal money), our unemployment rate has gone from 4.6% to hovering in the 10% range.  Some recovery.

You’re doin’ a heck of a job, Barry.

With all the negativity to come out of Washington these days, it is refreshing to turn to the flip side and look at the real American Olympic Spirit that has come out of the 2010 Olympic Games. The USA leads all other countries in medal count and I tell you that it is a real treat to look at average ordinary people become Olympic Winners for the USA. To see them on the podium with the Stars and Stripes hosted and the American Anthem playing and the winner’s crying for joy, it reminds me what it is to be American. Where we all pull together for our country and root for them to win. Even with a loss, we are proud in their accomplishments and we wish them well in future endeavors.

Too often we get caught up in things that divide us, that set us apart from one another. Too often everyday life creeps up and gets us down. However for a few moments this week, I forgot about all that stuff and tuned in to be a part of what has been transpiring in Vancouver. It’s nice to be reminded every so often that we are all Americans and not some politically correct interest group. And to me, watching all these American athletes have reminded me just that.

Go Team USA!

Van Helsing at Moonbattery has commented on yet another call by a liberal to commit violence against conservatives….   and at the end of his post, he sums up liberalism perfectly:

Liberalism is the ideology of the thug. Don’t create wealth; seize it. Don’t come to voluntary, mutually beneficial agreements; decide what you want others to do and force them to do it. Violent words and violent actions are to be expected from progressives, which is why they don’t want the rest of us armed.

I was perusing some of the national news today, I came across an interesting article on Fox News. I was astonished that I have not heard of this story anywhere else, much less no mention of it on ABC, CBS, CNN, or even Google News. Joe Biden, as Vice President, personal motorcade has been involved in 3 separate auto accidents, including one that resulted in a fatality.

Does anyone remember Ted Kennedy and Chappaquiddick? Where is the investigation? Where is the national media on this? Is it only because the fatality, which was a pedestrian, resulted in a car being driven by the Secret Service? One accident is understandable but 3 within a year is disconcerting. Who is to be held accountable for these things? Is anyone doing anything? The Fox news article states that Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan says “We don’t talk about those kinds of things”.

Now we all know that Joe regularly puts his foot in his own mouth and he is not always on the same page as everyone else in their right mind. And I don’t personally blame him for all these accidents, where one of them seems to be the result of the action of another person, however what I do hold Joe accountable is that this is another instance of an abuse of Government power where the death of a civilian is the direct result of his personal motorcade and it seems like there has been a news blackout of this incident and no-one is being held responsible. Can the family of this fatality victim even sue the Secret Service or the Vice President? If they can get away with “We don’t talk about those kinds of things”, what else can they get away with?

You remember?  All that harping from the left about how the PATRIOT Act – designed to track potential security threats to the government and citizens of the United States that has been misused on a few occasions – was an unconstitutional, evil plan by the Genius Idiot George W. Bush to track regular Americans and their financial transactions, library book usage, and favorite porno sites?

Remember how Obama hated it (before he decided he didn’t hate it and extended it once he got into office) and all his Obamanauts followed in lock step with their finger-shaking disapproval of the eeeeeeeeeeevil conservative plan to take over the world?

Heck, maybe you even remember Obama berating Bush for “rushing through” the legislation without allowing for a proper, open debate (presumably before he tried to do the same thing with Health Care before deciding that the Democrats didn’t need to rush health care through).

Yeah – all that concern about privacy and how the PATRIOT Act was an attack on the rights of all Americans?

Never mind.  Nothing to see here.  Move along.

It seems that a story is floating around the blogosphere about a Billboard that has been up for about a month around Chicago, Illinois. Take a look at the picture below hosted from this article:

Yahoo News.

Miss Me Yet?

It would seem that most people at first would think of answering no. I for one do not miss the outrageous spending that went on under Bush and the Republican Congress at the time. And the false information that directly led to the Iraqi war was a blunder we meddled through that we are still paying for. (Despite that most Iraqi’s are grateful for their freedom).

On the other hand, I look at our current President, Obama and my answer quickly turns to a Hell Yes! Why? While Bush was no fiscal conservative, he truly had our backs starting in 2001 through 2008. No major attacks happened on our soil again and most of us felt safe and protected. Bush is a deeply spiritual man and as president he led our nation, despite the constant attacks on his character, intellect and charisma. Everyone thinks W. is dumb, but they don’t exactly hand out Harvard MBA’s to dumb people, do they?

When I consider Obama’s blunders, they are monumental. Our economy is nearing collapse, spending in Washington is a run-away train; several more Trillion dollars more than Bush ever spent, Iran is close to getting a Nuclear Weapon, Obama never lent any support to Iran when Freedom Protests were going on, Obama has never fulfilled his promises on drilling for oil, Jobless Rates are soaring, Obama lecturing the Supreme Court and US Citizens like we are children, and of course taxes are going to go up to pay for this pig of the US Government wearing lipstick. Do I need to go on? Do I even have to mention nationalized healthcare?

Regardless of who put up the Billboard, Bush was not a socialist and he did not seek to penalize Banks and other Corporations for trying to make a profit and creating jobs. This whole recession started with the housing collapse that is directly linked to Barney Frank and his Democratic Cronies deregulating the housing market and banks safeguards that Republicans warned about in the early 2000′s. Does anyone mention that? Not in any media report I can find. The only thing I can find is Obama is trying to regulate banks more than what his democratic Friends took away in the first place. Crippling Banks, raising the Capital Gains tax is not doing anyone any favors. Obama is on a path for the Government to take away our freedom, not to protect it.

Bush had his faults and he was no Ronald Reagan. But compared to Obama’s socialist policies, W’s portrait needs to be put on Mount Rushmore. After all, despite everything, at least W. was a true American. Can you say the same for Obama? I’m not sure I can.
