There has so much that has gone on in this past week, instead of a long article, I though I would summarize a few things:
1) The Obama tax on Big Banks is bad for us. Yes you heard it from me. These big bad old evil banks, that will be taxed for taking tarp money (note that most have already paid it back with interest) is going to hurt us more than it hurts the banks. Why you ask? Because the banks aren’t going to lose their profit line, they are going to pass that tax on down to us: the consumers. So yet again The Big O has raised taxes on us, by claiming to raise it on the Big old Evil Banks. Prepare to be raped by your bank.
2) The health care bill IS NOT DEAD yet. While The Big O and Harry Reid promise to seat Scott Brown as quickly as possible, this does not prevent Harry Reid by going through with a Nuclear Option Vote which will pass the senate with a 51 vote majority. While the Republicans now technically have enough votes to force a filibuster, those like Olympia Snowe have been tempted to sway over to the Democratic side. Therefore the fight continues for now. Do not for an instant, believe it’s over, because until the bum’s are voted out, it still has a chance to pass.
3) Howard Dean and Barrack Obama have declared the only reason that Scott Brown won in Mass. is because the voters were mad at Bush, and mad at Congress for not being liberal enough. You got it. The Big O say the voters were mad at Bush and thus voted for someone closer to Bush than the opponent Coakley and Howard Dean declares the voters voted for Republican Brown because Congress wasn’t liberal enough. Yep these whack jobs are running and speaking for our country and trying to explain why Scott Brown won. I guess it didn’t have anything to do with cutting taxes, creating jobs, opposing Health Care or Obama’s course of steering the country towards socialism and spending like a drunken sailor.
4) The Supreme Court has ruled that corporations shall not be limited for spending money for or opposing Political Campaigns. This means that free speech is open for all. I think it’s a good thing, because for far too long, corporations have had no say to respond to the demonization that liberalism has attacked them for. Remember corporations create jobs, not Obama. If corporations are taxed heavily enough, they will pick up and leave this country and take the jobs with them. Now Corporations have the ability to challenge the government out in the realm of public perception. I wouldn’t be surprised if Bank’s start to run ad’s targeting Obama tomorrow.
I’m sure more things will come down the line soon, but I felt that these points needed consideration and not be overlooked so we are not lulled into a false sense of security with this government.
